Loading...Come to the Blessing of the Backpacks on Sunday, 8/23 to receive a blessing on your new school year! Preschoolers through college students are encouraged to bring their personal backpacks, school supplies, calculators, laptops and/or lunchboxes to the Blessing. Adults (especially parents, teachers, counselors, administrators, and school employees) are asked to bring their smart phones, laptops, agendas, tote bags or any other tools of their trade to the Blessing as well.
Our Back-to-School outreach project for the next four weeks will be collecting classroom supplies for the teachers at Children’s Harbor Olde Towne (our neighbor across the parking lot). The teachers compiled a detailed list of what each class needs the most. A Chisholm Hall display has sample items and color-coded cards listing items needed for purchase. If you can help with this project, please pick up as many cards as possible. If you are unable to shop but would like to help, monetary donations will be accepted. Father Derek will bless these supplies on Sunday, 9/13, at both the 8am & 10am Eucharists.
